Funding Possibilities for Participants

Update: ADA, a Luxembourgish NGO that works to promote inclusive finance worldwide, will grant scholarships for participants of the Symposium. The scholarships are reserved for participants from Asian, African and Latin American countries, submitting a paper in the field of energy and financial inclusion.

For scientists from African, Asian and South American countries who cannot afford the trip to Berkeley, we offer a small number of travel grants for the symposium. The requirement to obtain a conference scholarship is the submission of a research paper. The scholarships will be awarded according to the quality of the applicants research papers. If you are interested in a scholarship please write an email to including a statement of motivation, including information on your background and motivation to come to the conference.

We are in constant contact with different funding organization for additional scholarships. Nonetheless, we will not be able to provide a scholarship for all applicants. That’s why we want to encourage you to also apply for scholarships in your home countries. We will do our best to support these applications.
